Mesmerising Wedding at Memoire
The wedding of Fortune and Gugulethu was a long awaited date for many, but especially for the Splendid Team, who having planned this wedding for eighteen months, could not wait to make this wedding dream come true. Our dearest Gugu and Fortune envisioned a statement garden-inspired wedding ceremony. As the planning months evolved, so did the overall wedding vision and having their trust in our creativity certainly made this day one that could never be forgotten.
In the chapel, a risen high-gloss white aisle was erected with the bride’s expansive dress train in mind. What a jaw-dropping site it was, as the ceremony doors opened and a glowing Gugu glided towards a teary-eyed Fortune as he stood beneath a towering structure of swooping greenery and florals.
This special union was followed by cocktails and canapés on the perfectly manicured lawns before guests entered the reception. It was a space barely recognisable just hours before, having been transformed into a modern and chic space. Our incredible team of suppliers had laid down striking white flooring, erected a custom-made bridal stage with floral accents and tables dressed in glittering gold and white. Massive square custom lampshades hung from the ceiling and a gentle butter-yellow tone shone through the floral centrepieces. This special touch was at the bride’s sentimental request as yellow is her favourite colour.
An exceptional professional MC and superb DJ meant that guests did not want to leave the dance floor. It was an atmosphere that could not be beaten and a truly Splendid celebration.
